MY TOOTH!

I know, I know, it's hard to believe, but my tooth fell off in the middle of the night. Was I gritting my teeth to a horrible nightmare? I don't know. Besides some numbness, I didn't feel too much pain.

I was just lying in bed on Sunday and suddenly I realized there was something really sharp in my mouth. I fished the sharp object out and was puzzled for a little while as to what in the world I had just taken out of my mouth. Then it occured to me. I had a piece of tooth in my mouth. I'm sure you can imagine the look on my face when I looked into a mirror and realized that the tooth that had chipped was one right in front where everyone would be able to view. Well, maybe they will just think it is a piece of pepper or food. I may be getting a lot of strange looks until I get it fixed. Thank goodness for a dental plan.

My Nieces and Nephews

Each day since my nieces and nephews were born there hasn't been one thing that's happened that you just can't miss. First off, we'll start of with the oldest ones. My Niece Lily is getting so big too fast. She talks in full complete sentences and sings me songs all the time. She also is incredibly fun to play with. The best is doing big eyes and small eyes with her. My Nephew Hunter is getting really big also. I think he might be in his terrible twos because he throws fits when he doesn't get his way. He is extremely cute when he is being a good boy. He could beat anyone on the Wii. His golfing skills are amazing. My Niece Amara is growing up fastest. She has definite personality and she stood up for the first time that I could see. It was so cute. Her tiny legs with her giant head is so adorable. Her body is so tiny. My next niece is Malia. I feel so bad for her because her mommy took her to Hawaii and she got an allergic reaction to the penicilin and her skin started to flake off. She was admitted to the hospital with her mom who was also having complications with the baby inside her tummy. The next up is Jaxon. He is the first boy on my side of the family. He is extremely studdly and strong. He is a couple of months old and he is already the same size as Amara. He has the biggest smile and a giant mouth. Lastly is my niece Emmy. She is living right now in Pennsylvania so we don't see much of her. Last I saw her, she was so adorable with red hair. She spends a lot of time in the water going swimming with her mommy. That is my update on my Nieces and Nephews.

Death Row

My husband and a bunch of his friends all got together with the best idea I have ever heard of. First of all they split up into two seperate teams and then inside their teams, each team bought a 300 dollar car. After Spencer and his team bought their car, they took about a week or two of fixing up on the car. It was a sweet car when they were finished. The day finally came when the two cars came together to start the trek that some of the friends put together. With the Saab and the Cavilier next to eachother, it was almost touching to see what great cars were out there for such a good price. Anyway, we started off to goblin valley near Hanksville, Ut. It took about two and a half hours to make it to our destination. We showed up to where we were supposed to and smoked the other team by an hour and a half. The time the other car got to the destination it was dark outside and we had no idea where we were going to camp. After driving for a while longer to look for a camp site, I was starting to get really tired. By the time we found a spot, everybody was hungry because all of us missed dinner. So we cooked hot dogs and sausages over the fire and in a mini grill. The food tasted absolutely divine. Breakfast was even better with Micah and Max's dutch ovening. Yummy. After breaktfast the real mess started. We took the cars off roading and took the wrong turn into a wash. This was by far one of the best moments ever and the scariest also. It took both teams eight hours to go two miles. The cars went down waterfalls, through sand, barely missing rocks and through all this, no body got hurt. The end result by taking the wrong turn was we had to abandon the cars and cram into the emergency vehicles to get home. Everybody there suffered from heat exhaustion and Fritch cut his lip wide open so it looked like he had a clef palate. Lots of prayers were said and the Lord made it possible for us to return home from the place of no return. It was a wonderful experience and it will be great to tell the posterity. Too bad I don't have any pictures to show this incredible experience

The Newly Weds Update

Spencer and I have been married for almost a year in October. We met at a church in American Fork playing basketball. Ever since that day, we were inseperable. Our hobbies include playing any type of sport, eating, watching movies, and more that I just can't remember. All of our hobbies we always do with friends and family. Right now we live in a cute little apartment in provo. Someday soon I want to upgrade our living area so we may have a washer and dryer in our apartment and also a dishwasher. There are only two of us though so doing dishes by hand isn't too miserable but it would still be a lot easier with a dishwasher. We have a gigantic family consisting of 9 sisters, 8 brothers, 6 parents, 4 nieces, and 2 nephews. The best thing is it just keeps growing. My brothers and sisters ages range from 32 to 12. It is a huge range so there is always someone to play with depending on what you want to do. Both of us work away from home. Spencer works for a company owned by Hewlet Packard doing costumer support. He is such a hard worker and I'm so proud of him. He gets angry people and the awesome people who just have questions or need help figuring something out on their product. Spencer is extremely talented when it comes to working with people. I have zero patience and it shows. He could last a millenium without letting people bother him. I work at a place that deals with traffic of any kind. Right now we are most popular on the freeways. When heading on the freeway, our sensors are about every 100 yards or so and they tell you how long it will take to get to the next exit on the freeway. Its a pretty complicated product but it does wonders for the everyday driver. Anyways, that's our new family in a nutshell.

Another day in Hawaii

In Hawaii, members of my family got to ride with dophins. The first part of the experience involved my family getting to know the hand signals to make the dolpins do specific actions like talking or spinning in circles. That was fun to watch everyone look like they are in elementary trying to imitate the instructor. After that was finished, we got to touch the dolphins tummy and their fins. That was really neat. One of the dolphins that we swam with was famous. The dolphin was on multiple water movies including 50 First Dates. The most amazing part of that was the fact that I could feel the dolphins' scars. It was such a great experience.
The picture shows Spencer holding on to dear life while the dolphin takes him on the ride he'll never forget. My mom was the best to watch as her turn came to ride with the dolphin. Everyone but my mom grabbed onto the dolphin to get a ride the first try. The first time my mom tried to grab the dolphin, she grabbed too late and the dolphin already took off. The funniest part of that was watching her try to swim after it after she missed it thinking she might catch up to it. The second time she was shocked that she felt it coming and retreated her hands to her side. The third time the trainer had to help her and she finally grasped ahold of the dolphins flippers. That definately got all the laughs for the day.

Wedding Bells

I found these pictures the other day and I think they deserve to be posted. Spencer and I started to date on June 1 2005. We dated for two years and the best two year anniversary gift I could think of giving Spencer was a trip to Hawaii. We arrived in Hawaii a couple days before our anniversary and stayed at my relatives house. The day finally came to celebrate our two year anniversary. I was so excited to be in hawaii and I thought we were going to do something mind blowing. The first of the day past by and we did nothing. I started to get really bummed by this point. We didn't really have a car to get around that night but for some reason I thought he'd find a way. The second part of the day past and we went on a walk around Eva. That was beyond great because we finally got some alone time. After our romantic walk around the block, we ended up back at my relative's home and sat around waiting for my cousin's graduation. The time came for everyone to leave the house to get to my cousin's walk to end high school. I was more shocked that we went to Jack in the Box for our anniversary dinner. After food and my cousin's graduation, I thought we were going to back home when we started to go the wrong direction. All of us ended up at the beach Ala Moana and then Spencer made had me follow him to the restroom. We started to jog to the restroom and I thought, "okay... he really has to go." Once we finished, we started jogging back and I was startled because I wanted to have a romantic walk on the beach. We started to get close to my mom, aunt, and grandma and then they became poperatzie(I have no idea how to spell that word). The weird thing was that Spencer and I weren't even close to eachother at first cause he ditched me when we were jogging back. Then I saw a blanket in the sand and I was confused why he kept going towards it cause I didn't think it was ours cause it had a guitar on it and he doesn't play the guitar. When we sat down he started to play our song I wanna grow old with you by Adam Sandler. In shock that he was playing the guitar I had no idea that he was proposing. BAM! The ring came out and he asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes and now we've been happily married for almost a year.

Fourth Of July Cook Off!!

Life in the Lauret home, which is my parent's house, is based completely on food. I grew up my whole life with amazing food created by my dad. Shortly after my brothers and sister gained my dad's wonderful taste and ability to create absolutely delicious food. Since my whole family became spoiled with such wonderful flavored food, we decided to make a competition about it. Time after time we cooked different food and Spencer and I always came in last or barely above average but still never won. This fourth of July it was our time to take the chef crown at the Lauret home. We started off marinating our chicken tenders in a chipotle lime barbeque sauce. Shortly after we took peppered bacon and wrapped it around the chicken. After 30 minutes, we took the chicken and started grilling it on the barbeque. Once the chicken was almost done, we took pepper jack cheese and melted it on top. Then the toppings were put on and we served our divine dish to the judges. After the judges tasted all my other siblings and parents dishes, they went downstairs and collaborated for a good hour or so and then the moment came to see how we did. WAHOO!!!! Spencer and I finally took the chef crown for taste and the best sandwich. We were so excited! Best fourth of July ever. It was also a blast to be with my family and watch all of them put together their creations which were absolutely amazing. That is probably what made it even better to win because all the other sandwiches were beyond delicious.
