Guess who got baptized!!

GUYS!!!! Devon got baptized!!! I can’t believe that he’s old enough to be baptized and he was able to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost to help guide him on this earth. I’m just so proud of him and I am blessed that he is born into my family because he’s a HUGE help and a GIGANTIC personality that only wants happiness and joy. He wants to be so independent. I’m just a big fan of this kid.

My garden 2017

This is the first year I have ever started my garden from seed! I have been inspired by my sister and her family as they have had tremendous success with their planting from seed that I knew I wanted to try it. Last year my sister let me have some of her plants that she had to thin out and it was some of the best tomatoes I have ever had. So, I began my adventure by bringing Devon to the store to buy soil, cups, and seeds. We went over board on the seed buying but that means we will have lots extra for next year :) right now I am growing Roma Tomatoes, Heirloom Tomatoes, Bell Peppers, and a variety of spicy peppers. I was super nervous that my skills in this matter will fail but when I checked on them today, I found them all growing!! They were super healthy and I ended up giving half of them to my dad since I had 24 plants total. But then I failed miserably by not having a spot predesignated for my garden and I left my plants outside and scorched them. So, my garden this year goes into the epic fail column :(

Baby Bridger was Born

It all began on August 21, the day of the full solar eclipse. Where we live, it was only 92% eclipsed but in Idaho, it went pitch black. My dad and Debby got to experience the total solar eclipse. This only happens once in like a hundred years so it was amazing we got to experience it. During the eclipse, I started having contractions but I wasn't too worried because I've been having several contractions for weeks now and they never amounted to much. So, after we watched the whole eclipse, Spencer and I went and dropped our kids off at the Whitmore's house so we could do a final date before the baby came which would have been the next day because I was to be induced in the afternoon. We made it to lunch at Taco Amigo (my favorite and I suspect one of Spencer's favorite fast food Mexican joints). Half way through the lunch, my pain increased and the frequency of my contractions were increasing. When we finally finished lunch, we were going to go to a movie when I told Spencer we probably needed to go to the hospital. After heading to the hospital and turning around 3 times, Spencer finally decided enough is enough and took me to the hospital. I was admitted after I dilated 1 1/2 cm and was there for only an hour. I was so happy my body went onto labor on its own since I never experienced that with my other two. I ended up having my sweet baby around 8pm that night. My labor went so smooth with 1 1/2 pushes he was out with no tearing. It was awesome. I had the best doctor in the world (Dr. Cameron Anderson). It took us all the way until we gave birth to agree on a name but we sure are grateful for our new addition.
This is at the end of the solar eclipse

I look super freaky but this is what he looked like before they cleaned him up

First bath
Now he's all clean and happy

Family Night

Tonight for family night Devon took the reigns and did it all by himself. It was AWESOME!! He had received pokeballs from his cousins' birthday party and we used those to summon our Pokémon (Devon = devonchu and Tommy = tommychu). So Spencer and I would throw the pokeballs and give our Pokémon orders to attack. It ended with the correlation of the scripture stories of the nephite and lamanite battles in the Book of Mormon. Devon described it as the men with God against those against him. We sang Book of Mormon stories and ended with a prayer. Spencer is making peach cobbler for dessert. This has by far been one of my most favorite family nights ever :)

Boy or Girl?

Yes yes yes!! We are expecting child number 3 (whoot whoot!!). As we went into our ultrasound for the first appointment, he said he was 75% sure it was a girl (at eleven weeks). Then we went back to the doctor the next appointment (15 weeks) and he said that the heartbeat sure sounds like a girl. Then we went and got our second ultrasound to make sure everything is developing okay (20 weeks) and they were positive it was a boy. I guess the only way to find out for sure is on our delivery date August 29. I can't wait to add to our little family. I hope we can all fit in our car. Anyway, let's see what you guys think... boy or girl?
Here's the second ultrasound pics

Jazz Game

Even though we lost, the Jazz playoff game was amazing to go to and so much fun. I LOVE having dates with my hubby. Some highlights were that Gordon Hayward got a career high of 40 points that game, the crowd was exceptionally loud, and I got to sit by the most handsome man in the world. We also got some free shirts and towels :)

Devon's Kindy 500

For  kindergarten this year, they had them make cars out of boxes. His task was accomplished by my amazing husband and Devon together. They decided on the bat-mobile. Apparently a bunch of kids decided on the same thing because there were a bunch there today during the race (by race I mean they walked the hallways in a single file line). It was so fun to watch it unfold and see all the other cars. Here's a pic of Devon's Kindy 500 car!
