My New House.... Hopefully

Spencer and I put an offer on a cute little town home. It is a nice row end and it is perfect for our little family. The HOA covers the exterior maintenance and ground keep as well as the internet and cable. It has a playplace area and sand volleyball next to a pavilion. Our place looks over a cute duck pond that has little fishies in it. Surprisingly enough, there aren't a ton of bugs of what I noticed. It is a 3 bed, 2 1/2 bath. One living room, one kitchen, one laundry room, and hopefully a cute whitmore family. We are in the process of getting our loan finished and closing on this place. Pray that all will go well.

Devon helping his Daddy

Spencer had to fix his tire before he had to go to work and Devon was happy to learn how. It was so cute watching them work together. I can already see them doing scouts together :)

County Fair Day

On Joe's Birthday, Mom, Devon, and I went to the Spanish Fork fair grounds where they were having the county fair. They had animals of all kinds but Devon really really liked the Tortoise. He kept going back to it over and over again. Jake and Kelli met us there and we had a blast. The smell is terrible though so if you don't do well with smells, I suggest to move quickly through the barn area. It was a super blast from the past for my mom because she was pregnant with joe and going into labor on that exact day and place that we were at. We then went to mom's old apartment in Provo where she got to go inside and look around. I had to stay outside since Devon was sleeping in the car and I didn't think it was right to leave him there alone :) But we did find this sweet car that is on the movie cars 2 and on Top Gear. Probably one of my favorite crappy cars every made :)

Devon and Mommy Time

Devon and I had a fantastic mother son night with pizza, laughs, and playing with cars. We also read a book right before night nights. He is so cute and I will always cherish these memories with him.

Devon's Actual Birthday

Since we already had Devon's party on Saturday, his actual birthday was a bit more mellow. We woke up, had breakfast, and then played with his cousins at Artic Circle. He ate the ice cream cone well and played as long as he could in the play place. Then we went home and got a nap. After he woke up we went to Grandma Whitmore's house where he ate cake, cake, and more cake. He was one happy toddler :)

Devon's 2nd Birthday

Spencer and I had an amazing time planning, baking, and celebrating Devon's 2nd Birthday. We went to the park first but found out that they were doing a Luau there so we had to go to our back up plan, which was Grandpa Jim's house. We (I mean everybody that was at that house) quickly scrambled all the decor up and cleaned as fast as we could since the party was going to start in 15 minutes. I had to facebook everybody letting them know that the location changed hoping that they would see it in time. Then finally, we got to enjoy the sweets that I slaved over all morning long. Devon got so many gifts. He is one loved boy. He got trucks, cars, books, disc golf stuff, basketball stuff, lunch stuff, and different types of balls. Thank you to all who participated and gave Devon gifts. He LOVES them all.

Fireworks and July 4th

On the Fourth of July, My family got together for a big Lunch. We had gourmet hot dogs with pulled pork you could stick on top.  To accompany the hot dogs were amazing salads of all sorts and side dishes. It was DELICIOUS!! We had fun talking and making memories. My dad had the best fashion statement for the red white and blue. I would have given him the best dressed award. Lani showcases the delicious hot dogs and sides we had.

Devon LOVES fireworks. He keeps asking me every night for fireworks. Luckily, tonight I can deliver since it is July 24th but the rest of the days I had to settle for the fireworks that come on right before a Disney Movie. Here, we are watching the July 4th fireworks at Thanksgiving Point. It was so fun having my family there with us and it was a good, long show. It took FOREVER to get out of there once they were done. Next time, I think I will park on the other side of the freeway.

Sushi House

So, we go to Sushi House in American Fork quite frequently and Devon has learned how to use the chopsticks, sit during dinner, and enjoy the sweet, delicious sushi. Here's some fun pics we took while we were waiting for our food.

Devon's Firsts

So we did a lot of things this week that just happen to be Devon's firsts. We went to a carnival called steeldays in American Fork and he finally got to ride some of the rides :) Here's some of the rides he enjoyed...

We also went to the Owls game a little while back which was his first time ever going to a baseball game. Here's some of the pics from the game

We also went to the Springville splash pad which he climbed his first rocks by himself without falling :)

We also went to the Thanksgiving point Farm and it was his first time feeding the goats and riding the horse all by himself.

Another First for Devon is the sweet, yummy, cotton candy. He had never eaten it before but he enjoyed the sugar :)

His next first was putting on shoes all by himself :) granted, they were not his but it is a start.

When we were hungry one night, we decided to go to Firehouse Subs and it was delicious and the whole time Devon was so excited, yelling, "TRUCKS!" So there we have his first time at Firehouse Subs in Lehi

He also went to the library for the first time and got his own books and went to his first story time. He is such a cute kid :) Then he read the books when we got home. He also conquered the playground equipment for his first time all by himself.

He also got his first sprained ankle :( Poor guy. He was jumping on the tramp and fell on it and started limping and couldn't walk on it. It healed quickly but it was sad to see him in pain for the short time it lasted. Here's his cute ankle all wrapped up.

And last of all, he watched his very first movie in the Thanksgiving Point Theater. The Movie was Despicable Me 2 and he made it most of the way without moving. Then he had to get down and play. Next time I will bring more treats and a drink to distract him :) We'll see if that works
