Baby Tommy is here!!

On September 15, we went to the Orem Community Hospital to prepare to have our little baby boy. We arrived bright and early at 6 am. My sister, Lani Christensen was staying with me at my house so she watched Devon for us while we were at the hospital. I was in labor for about 8 hours before he came out around 1:50pm. I pushed a couple times and he was ready to conquer the world screaming at the top of his lungs and punching and kicking. He is a strong little boy. He was 8lbs 4.5 oz and 20 inches long (I think… sleep deprivation has been killing my memory and I am too lazy to get up and find out if i am right or not). We named him Thomas James Alohinoheahokuokalani Whitmore. He is such a joy and I love him so much.
At the hospital waiting to get this shin dig started

Tommy spits up just as much as his brother (LOTS)

Such a peaceful and happy sleeper (image thanks to Steve)

Hello My Fellow Followers

I'm so sorry it has been so long since my last blog post. There has been a lot happening with me lately :) first off, I am pregnant with baby #2. The plan is to call him Tommy. My induction date is set for September 15, 2014 and my due date was September 21 but since he is measuring a week a head of schedule, I get to have him earlier. I can't wait. I got his room set up, his clothes cleaned and organized, and diapers waiting. Devon is so excited. I feel like he wants to come out because I have been having sooo many contractions and he's been trying so hard to stretch me to my limits that I think he is sick of being so confined. I can actually see his little foot sticking out of my stomach. It is a little creepy but cool. My stomach has never moved so much before. He seems like he'll be a very active little boy.
My Baby at 36 weeks tomorrow! I am GIGANTIC.

Hmmm… what else is new from the beginning of the year? We went to Vegas and got to meet with our family from Hawaii, Washington, and Vegas. It was so good to see all my Aunties and Uncles again. We also ate at Hash House A Go Go. It was delicious and HUGE!
Mommy, Uncle Kaiama, Uncle Joe, and Aunty Raz
Hash Breakfast to go

Crab Cake with Pasta Salad

I honestly can't remember with this was but it was huge and delicious.

Next new thing, We got a new car. It's a Subaru Outback. We LOVE it especially since we got a dog named Ellie and it works great for her. Anyway, I think that is about it. Devon and Ellie are best buds for the most part :)
This is when we first got her.

and here's our car we bought

Life is good to us and the Lord has blessed us well. I'm excited for the future and hopefully I can keep up my blog better. As for my sister's request, I'll end on Ellie's catch of the rat in our backyard that she brought in our house. Thank goodness my dad was there to dispose of it and a BIG thank you to Ellie for killing it so I didn't have to see it alive and moving.
Big?

Yes. And disgusting.

Fishing as a family

We decided we would go fishing together with Uncle Stevo, Spencer, me, Devon, and Ellie. It was super fun and super cold. Spencer got a bunch of bites but only landed one. After that, we went to Zubs and home to thaw out. It was totally worth it :) I love being outdoors and I love the mountains. Always puts me in a good mood.  Psalms 72:3 reads, "The mountains shall bring peace to the people" So its no coincidence that I feel so happy when I go up and spend time in the mountains.

Fun with the Cousins

While Jaxon was out of school, Mandy was able to come visit me at my house down in Spanish Fork. We had sooooo much fun playing at the park, watching shows, eating food, and having good company. I wish I could see them more often. Here are some pics of us dressed nice and warm for the occasion.

Making cupcakes with Aunty Jean

Devon did such a good job making the cupcakes for sunday treat. He stirred the batter, put it in the pan, and ate a good amount of the batter while doing all of this. Best part of making anything is the batter :) It also makes a really sweet goatee.
